Strawberry Chiffon Cake

My new favorite cake. I wanted to make something light, but special for Mark’s mother’s birthday. I chose to make this strawberry chiffon cake from Joanne Chang’s book Pastry Love, and it did not disappoint.

This cake is like an angel food cake. Incredibly light, and airy. It has a lovely whipped cream frosting and a vanilla syrup adds a touch of sweetness.

This cake is light and irresistible. I don’t usually eat desserts, and I could have eaten this whole cake. This cake will now be a staple for me moving forward, one of my all time favorites.

I hope to try making a strawberry champagne version of this cake!
