Sarah Kieffer - Brownies
I am always looking to perfect “the brownie”, and I find this a particularly difficult task due to the fact that I can’t eat chocolate. Although the brownie is simple in concept, it seems to be a difficult recipe to truly get right. Many people seem to prefer a fudge-y brownie, but fudge-y brownies often seem to end up rich/intense. This brownie got good reviews from my coworkers as being yummy and “nicely salted” (I accidentally added an extra 1/4 tsp of salt which seemed to work in my favor!). My boss suggested topping the brownie with flakey Malden salt next time, which I think would look really lovely. Overall these were well received and I would make them again.
